Some Pokémon ex like Tyranitar, Eiscue, and Vespiquen have different types due to the Terastal phenomenon, while Dragonite ex and Greedent ex display their own strengths. Other powerful Pokémon also appear in the Scarlet & Violet—Obsidian Flames expansion. 

Key Set Features

The set contains over 190 cards, including type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex with a crystalline look. These cards have an energy type that differs from their usual type, such as a Darkness-type Charizard ex that uses Fire Energy for attacks. The expansion also features more than 20 new Pokémon ex and numerous special illustration rare cards.
